Some majors require advising prior to registration. Requirement on advisement will be noted on your Registration Access Information. All students are strongly encouraged to see an academic advisor each term.
The course has reached its capacity. Contact the department for its over-ride policy. Over-rides cannot be processed through the kiosks, or the web.
Some courses must be taken with an accompanying course. These are designated in the Class Schedule. You must enter the reference number of the corresponding course, otherwise the first course will be deleted from your schedule.
If the course is offered as Optional grading, the system will query you for the grading option (I for Pass/Fail, 2 for Letter Grade).
Certain courses require special permission. You must contact the department offering the course for more information. The processing for these courses must be done through regular on-campus registration. You should register for the rest of your courses by kiosks, or web.
This is a four digit number that identifies each course. The reference number is unique to each course and changes every semester. Make certain that you enter the correct reference number. If you do not, you might register for a course different from the one you wanted. If you register for a wrong course, select the drop option (2) and enter the reference number of the course to be dropped.
The system will inform you if you have a registration hold and what the hold is. You must clear the hold from the appropriate office prior to registering. Some offices can clear the hold, others will provide you with a hold release to give to the Registrar's Office. You should clear all holds before registration begins to be able to use the kiosks, or the web.
Web/Kiosk Appointment Day/Time
All fully admitted, degree seeking students are assigned a priority appointment day and time according to their classification and the total number of credit hours earned prior to the current term. Students may register at their appointment time or anytime thereafter. The appointment day and time cannot be changed.
If a course has a variable credit, you will be prompted to enter the credits you want to register for followed by the '#' sign. Students are not allowed to register for more than 18 credit hours each semester. To register for more hours, you must obtain the permission of the Dean and register for the additional hours through regular on-campus registration. - Kiosks, or the Web can be used only to add or register through the first week of classes. Any adding or registering after the drop/add period must be done with the appropriate signatures and through regular on-campus registration. Late Drops can be done through the Kiosks, or the Web. Any courses registered for after the last day to pay for Fall 2008 courses (August 20, 2008 by 5:00pm) must be paid for immediately to avoid cancellation of all paid or unpaid courses. By registering via Kiosks, the Web, or in person, students accept both fee and grade liability. Courses must be dropped through the Office of the Registrar (via the Kiosks, the Web, or in person) by the deadline dates to avoid any liability. Withdrawals can only be processed in person at the Office of the Registrar.
